Practice

Faith D. Segal joined Rosenberg, Freedman & Goldstein LLP in 1993 as a litigation associate and became a partner in 2007. Faith came to the firm after working for a general practice with extensive experience in family law, personal injury, construction litigation and real estate litigation. She has also worked for an insurance defense firm representing insurance companies and individuals who were injured on the job. She is focusing her practice on family law and divorce, as a collaborative lawyer and a litigator. She is a skilled negotiator and has resolved many highly contested cases prior to trial.

Professional Experience Faith's practice in family law encompasses all aspects of domestic relations and probate law including:

  • Divorce
  • Custody
  • Alimony and Child Support
  • Property Division
  • Pre-nuptial and Post-nuptial Agreements
  • Contempt
  • Paternity
  • Defending and Obtaining 209A
  • Restraining Orders
  • Removal
  • Probate Litigation including Will Contests and Trust Disputes
  • Partition Actions
  • Reformation of Trusts

Faith also maintains a civil litigation practice in the areas of personal injury, business disputes and real estate litigation.

Prior to attending law school, Faith has a background working in a pediatric hospital as part of a multidisciplinary team evaluating children and adolescents with traumatic head injury, brain disease, learning problems and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She then became the Chapter 766 Coordinator representing the hospital team at administrative hearings.

Faith has successfully argued before the Supreme Judicial Court in Russell v. Boston Wyman, Inc., 410 Mass. 1005(1991) that a spouse's claim for loss of consortium is barred by the provisions of the workers' compensation statute.
